About
Jerry Sorkin, was appointed Honorary Consul by Tunisia’s president Beji Caid Essebsi and received his credentials from the United States Department of State in May 2018. Mr. Sorkin is an entrepreneur and founder of a tour company that specializes in cultural and academic programs internationally. He is an expert on policy matters regarding the Middle East and North Africa and his relationship with Tunisia dates back more than three decades, including residing in Tunisia for more than six years. During the years Mr. Sorkin resided in Tunisia in addition to overseeing his tour company, He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and is conversant in Arabic, French and Hebrew.
