Gilda Pallanca Pastor was named Consul General of Monaco in New York by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco in June 2015.

He began his career at the age of 19 in real estate, the core activity of the Pastor family in Monaco. After studying law in France, economics in Italy and specializing in real estate construction at MIT in Cambridge, MA, he supervised the construction of a 22-acre block of offices and industries in the Principality, named the Gildo Pastor Center after his grandfather.

Gildo Pallanca Pastor has a passion for motor sport and raced himself from 1986 to 2000. In 1995, he set a new world ice speed record of 184 mph with his Bugatti EB110 Supersport.

His passion naturally led him towards the automobile industry which he approached by setting up and launching pioneering companies in the sustainable mobility and energy efficiency optimization sectors: Venturi Automobiles, Venturi Grand Prix, Voxan. He also serves as president of Brasserie de Monaco and director of Radio Monaco.

Gildo Pallanca Pastor is deeply involved in environmental protection and as such he serves as president of the Environment and Sustainable Development branch of Monaco’s Economic and Social Council. He is also a member of the European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Cars (AVERE), vice president of the Monegasque Association of Friends of Electric Vehicle (AMAVE) and vice president of the World Energy Council (Monaco).

In 2009, Prince Albert II made him a Knight of the Order of Saint Charles in recognition of services to the Principality of Monaco and the Princely Family.

He currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
